The general duties of the Police Chief include:
(A) Supervise the Department;
(B) When directed by the Board of Commissioners, organize, train, and supervise an Auxiliary or Reserve Police Department made up of volunteer members;
(C) Preserve the peace by suppressing all disturbances and by apprehending all offenders;
(D) Assign such duties to the police officers as he, she, or they deems best for the welfare of the town; and
(E) Carry out such further duties as may be assigned to him, her, or them by the Public Safety Commissioner.
