§ 130.21 EXCEPTIONS.
   (A)   The restrictions of this subchapter shall not apply to the following:
      (1)   A sworn law enforcement officer while on the job and acting within the scope of his, her, or their duties;
      (2)   A person acting pursuant to the lawful directions of the sworn law enforcement officer;
      (3)   When a firearm is used in defense of person or property;
      (4)   As part of any use allowed by and permitted under Chapter 152 of this code of ordinances;
      (5)   The discharge of blank cartridges in musical and theatrical performances, parades, sporting events; and
      (6)   Salutes by firing squads at military funerals.
   (B)   A firearm may be secured in a locked vehicle within the trunk, glove box, or other enclosed compartment or area within or on the motor vehicle.

§ 130.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person violating any provision of this chapter for which no specific penalty is prescribed shall be subject to § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.
   (B)   Any person violating §§ 130.15 through 130.21 shall be liable to the town for the penalty of $50, and failure to pay such penalty within ten days shall, in addition to the penalty stated above, constitute a misdemeanor subjecting such person to fine or imprisonment as provided in state laws.
