§ 30.02 MAYOR GENERAL DUTIES, VOTE IN CASE OF TIE, PRO TEM.
   (A)   Duties. It shall be the duty of the Mayor to:
      (1)   Preside over all meetings of the Board of Commissioners;
      (2)   Vote in case of a tie;
      (3)   Keep himself, herself, or themself informed as to the town’s business;
      (4)   See that all laws and ordinances are enforced; and
      (5)   Perform such other and further duties as the nature of the office may require.

   (B)   Vote in case of tie. When there is an equal division of the Board upon any question, the Mayor may vote to break the tie, but the Mayor shall have no vote under any other circumstances.

   (C)   Mayor Pro Tem. At the first meeting of the Board after each election, it shall select one of its number to act as Mayor Pro Tem. The Mayor Pro Tem shall have no fixed term of office. The Mayor Pro Tem shall perform all the duties of the Mayor in the Mayor’s absence or disability.

   (D)   Sale of real property. The Mayor may execute deeds of conveyance pursuant to § 5.2 of the Town Charter only with the approval of a supermajority of the Board of Commissioners.
