(A) Fee schedule. The fee schedule is on file at the office of the Town Clerk.
(B) Refuse fee billing and payment.
(1) Refuse fees shall be collected as part of the monthly utility billing.
(2) Refuse fees will be waived in the case of vacant houses. A home is considered VACANT if it is unoccupied (i.e. not inhabited) for a period of six consecutive months or more. In order to qualify for a waiver of refuse fees, the property owner or occupant must submit to the town, prior to vacating the home, written notice requesting the fee waiver. The town staff may require that the notice be submitted on a form provided by the town.
(3) Partial payments towards monthly utility bills shall be applied in the following order:
(a) Penalties;
(b) Solid waste fee; and
(c) Water use charge.
(C) Businesses.
(1) Business pick-up shall be two times per week with a maximum of three 30-gallon containers or three 30-gallon trash bags per pick-up.
(2) Businesses which require greater than three 30-gallon containers two times per week pick-up shall be required to contract for dumpster pick-up by a private waste hauler.
(3) Multifamily developments such as apartment complexes or duplexes with greater than four residential units shall be treated as businesses requiring dumpster service from a contract hauler.
(D) Residential. Residential pick-up shall be two times per week with a maximum of three 30-gallon containers or three 30-gallon trash bags per pick-up.
