ORDINANCE NO. O-2001-06

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND ENACTING SUPPLEMENTS TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PINCKNEYVILLE, PERRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

   WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation has completed Supplement 1998 S-2, Supplement 1999 S-3, and Supplement 2000 S-4, to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, which supplements contain all ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted since the approval of Ordinance 0-98-4 on February 17, 1998, which adopted and enacted the initial Code of Ordinances of the City of Pinckneyville, current through Ordinance 0-2000-19 passed September 18, 2000; Resolution R-2000-30 passed October 16, 2000, and state legislation current through July 7, 2000; and,

   WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Council of the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, to accept these updated sections and incorporate them into the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pinckneyville;

   NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PINCKNEYVILLE, PERRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

   SECTION 1:   The facts and statements contained in the preamble to this Ordinance are found to be true and correct and are hereby adopted as part of this Ordinance.

   SECTION 2:    That Supplements 1998 S-2, 1999 S-3 and 2000 S-4 supplementing the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, as prepared and submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation be and they are hereby adopted by reference as if set out in their entirety.

   SECTION 3:   Each such supplement shall be deemed published as of the day of its adoption and approval by the City Council and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to insert each such supplement into the copy of the Code of Ordinances kept on file in the office of the City Clerk.

   SECTION 4:    This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.

   SECTION 5:    That this Ordinance shall be printed and published in pamphlet form by order of the City Council.
