(A) The bond of the Mayor and each Commissioner of the city shall be in an amount not less than $3,000 each. The bonds of the Mayor and Commissioners shall be approved by the Perry County Circuit Court and filed with, recorded and preserved by the County Clerk, as provided by law.
(B) The bond of the City Clerk shall be in an amount not less than $1,000, to be approved by the City Council and recorded and preserved by the City Treasurer.
(C) The bond of the City Treasurer shall be in an amount not less than $10,000 or an amount not less than three times the latest federal census population or any subsequent census figures used for motor fuel tax purposes for the city. The bond of the City Treasurer shall be approved by the Council and recorded and preserved by the Clerk.
(D) The bond of the Police Chief of the city shall be in an amount of not less than $5,000, to be approved by the Council and recorded and preserved by the City Clerk.
(E) The Council, from time to time, may require other officers, elected or appointed, to execute bonds with good and sufficient security to be approved by the Council, payable to the city, in penal sums as may be directed by ordinance. The penal sums of the bonds of all officers may be increased at any time by appropriate ordinance of the Council.
