For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
HUNT. The act of a person possessing a firearm, bow and arrow, or weapon of any kind, or who is accompanied by a dog or bird of prey for the purpose of taking any species of wildlife.
TAKE. Hunt, shoot, pursue, lure, kill, destroy, capture, gig or spear, trap or ensnare, harass or attempt to do so.
TRAP. To capture, or attempt to capture, by setting or placing a leg hold trap, cushion hold trap, body tripping trap, cage or box trap, snare, or other similar device to capture, hold, or kill any species of wildlife.
WILDLIFE. Any bird or mammal living in a state of nature without the care of man, but does not include any species of mice, rats or moles.
