§ 52.061 DAMAGE TO METER SHUT-OFF VALVE OR OTHER CITY-OWNED EQUIPMENT.
   (A)   No person shall tamper, adjust, damage or in any manner interfere with the components or operation of the water and sewerage system owned by the city. The shutoff valve shall be opened only by a duly authorized representative of the city.
   (B)   When a meter, shutoff valve or other equip- ment of the city is found to have been damaged for any cause whatsoever, such damages shall become the liability of the customer, who shall pay the city the actual cost of removal, repairing and/or replacing the damaged equipment.
   (C)   In the event damage has been caused by inaccurate metering, the water bills shall be corrected in the manner previously provided for herein.
