§ 32.103 REMOVAL.
   (A)   Members of the Board shall not be subject to removal, except for cause, upon written charges, and after an opportunity to be heard within 30 days in his or her own defense, before a regular meeting of the City Council. A majority vote of the members of the City Council shall be required to remove any such member from office.
   (B)   The Chief of the Fire Department or the Chief of the Police Department may be removed or discharged by the corporate authority which shall file a statement of the reasons for such removal or discharge which shall not become effective unless confirmed by a majority vote of the corporate authorities.
