(A) It shall be unlawful to enter in places in which a concealed firearm is prohibited pursuant to KRS 237.110(16).
(B) It shall be unlawful to enter into or upon any building owned, leased or occupied by the City of Pikeville or its agencies by a licensee carrying a concealed deadly weapon pursuant to a license granted in KRS 237.110 except buildings used for public housing by private persons, highway rest areas, firing ranges, and private dwellings owned, leased, or controlled by the City of Pikeville.
(C) The areas owned, leased, or occupied by the City of Pikeville or its agencies in which the carrying of concealed deadly weapons is prohibited hereunder shall be clearly identified by signs posted at the entrance to the restricted area.
(D) Nothing contained in this subchapter shall prohibit the carrying of concealed deadly weapons by a peace officer as described in Kentucky Revised Statutes.
(E) The City of Pikeville or its agencies may enter into leases, agreements, contracts and license agreements with parties for the use and possession of certain properties owned, leased or controlled by the City of Pikeville for private events; and if the party seeking possession of the premises desires to prohibit or restrict the use, carrying and possession of deadly weapon at their events, the City of Pikeville or its agencies will honor the request during the private event.
(F) The provisions contained herein shall apply to the property sub-leased by the City of Pikeville to the City of Pikeville Exposition Center Corporation, aka Appalachian Wireless Arena, and its Board of Directors shall adopt the same as its policy.
(G) Properties of the City of Pikeville subject to a use agreement with the Pikeville Independent School Board for the use of its students are subject to the prohibition of weapons pursuant to KRS 527.070 (except as otherwise provided therein), and pursuant to KRS 527.070 the Chief Administrator of the school is authorized to cause to be posted upon such properties the unlawful possession signs required by KRS 527.070(2) and cause signs to be posted around school zones giving warning of prohibitions of the possession of firearms in a school zone provided for in 18 U.S.C. § 922(q)(2)(A).
