§ 32.02 PUBLIC ORGANIZATION MEETING ATTENDANCE POLICY; MISCONDUCT.
   (A)   Absenteeism. Unless otherwise prohibited by state or federal law, individuals appointed by the Mayor or Commission of the City of Pikeville or the governing body thereof to an organization, boards, agencies, public corporations, public body and/or commissions or governing body thereof (hereafter referred to as “organization”) created or organized in whole or in part by the city are required to regularly attend all duly called regular and special meetings of the organization. Individuals who have two (2) consecutive absences from any meetings or fail to attend at least 75% of the total number of meetings in a twelve (12) month period shall be deemed to have submitted their resignation from the organization leaving their membership vacant and subject to immediate replacement pursuant to the bylaws, rules or regulations of the organization. It is the duty of the organization’s Chairman/President to duly notify in writing the member of their automatic resignation resulting from their absenteeism.
   (B)   Misconduct. An individual appointed by the Mayor or Commission of the City of Pikeville or the governing body thereof to an organization, boards, agencies, public corporations, public body and/or commissions or governing body thereof (hereafter referred to as “organization”) created or organized in whole or in part by the city may be removed from the governing body of the organization by the appointing authority upon a showing of misconduct by the individual.
   (C)   Felony conviction. An individual appointed by the Mayor or Commission of the City of Pikeville or the governing body thereof to an organization, boards, agencies, public corporations, public body and/or commissions or governing body thereof (hereafter referred to as “organization”) created or organized in whole or in part by the city shall be automatically removed as a member of the organization upon conviction of a felony.
