(A) Eligible employee classifications that qualify for paid jury duty are:
(1) Regular full-time employees; and
(2) Regular part-time employees.
(B) Jury duty pay will be calculated based on the employee’s current pay rate times the number of hours the employee would have otherwise worked on the day of the absence for a maximum of five days. Employees may use any earned, but unused vacation benefits to cover the term of the absence, if the time is greater than five days. However, they are not required to do so. In order to receive pay for jury duty, employees must present the jury summons to the Clerk-Treasurer’s office.
