(A) Eligible employee classifications include regular full-time employees after 90 days of continuous employment.
(B) Eligible employees will accrue sick leave at the rate of one-half day per month worked commencing on the month following the first full month of employment.
(C) Sick leave may be taken in increments of 15 minutes. Sick leave may not be taken in advance of having earned the time. Sick leave is earned for all continuous years of service in an active pay status. Sick leave is not earned while an employee is in an unpaid status.
(D) In the event that available sick leave is not used by the end of the employee’s anniversary year, the employee will be able to carry over a maximum of 30 days of sick leave from year to year. Earned, but unused sick leave will not be paid out upon termination of employment, or to the estate of the employee upon their death. An employee’s termination date may not be extended by the use of unused sick leave or to earn additional sick leave.
(E) Sick leave is paid at the employee’s current pay rate at the time of the absence and will not be included in the calculation of overtime.
