(A) Where the public sanitary or combined sewer is not available, the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system complying with all requirements of the State Board of Health.
(B) At such times as a public sewer becomes available, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this chapter, and any septic tanks, cesspools and similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be abandoned. Within 30 days of making connection to the public sewer, all such private sewage disposal facilities shall be opened, shall have all sewage removed and shall be broken and completely filled with earth, sand, gravel, concrete or other material approved by the Inspector; provided, that where any such private sewage disposal facility is shown to be completely inaccessible, upon application, the Chairperson and Board of Trustees may except such facility from the requirements of opening, sewage removal and breaking and filling.
