(a) Whoever violates any provision of this article or fails to comply therewith, or violates or fails to comply with orders of the Fire Department pursuant thereto, or who fails to comply with any provision or order as affirmed or modified by proper authority or by a court of competent jurisdiction, shall, upon conviction, severally for each and every such violation and noncompliance respectively, be fined not more than $500, or another such amount as set by Council from time to time. Each ten days that prohibited conditions are maintained shall constitute a separate offense.
(b) The application of the above penalty shall not be construed to prevent an order removing prohibited conditions by a court or body of competent jurisdiction, nor deemed to abolish or impair any other existing remedies at law whatsoever.
