§ 139.12 RESIGNATION.
   (a)   All members of the Police Department shall give 14 days’ written notice to the Chief of Police of their intentions of resigning.
   (b)   Any member leaving the Department without due notice shall be disqualified from ever again becoming a member of the Department.
   (c)   Upon resignation, a member should return all equipment and property belonging to the Department and the city. Failure to return property shall be a misdemeanor with an additional penalty if the Department sees fit.
