Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this article, or aiding, abetting, or assisting in the violation of such provisions, shall, upon conviction before the proper officials of the city be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50, or another such amount as set by Council from time to time and costs of prosecution for each offense.
