(a) Primary purpose. The primary purpose of this non-stock, non-profit organization is to enhance the economic climate of the city by developing and promoting the tourist resources and convention attractions.
(b) Contributory purposes.
(1) Revitalize the economy of the city through developing tourist potential;
(2) Identify and develop community resources for tourism;
(3) Enhance communication among those community groups conducting tourist development activities;
(4) Coordinate activities designed to promote tourism;
(5) Develop a long-range tourist development plan for the city;
(6) Publicize tourism objectives;
(7) Collect data relating to the effect of tourism on our economic well-being;
(8) Disseminate information conducive to promoting specific tourism projects in our area; and
(9) Facilitate the working relationships between governmental agencies and the private sector interested in tourism.
