(A) Nomination by the Village President. The Village President shall nominate qualified individuals to serve as Village Clerk and Village Treasurer.
(B) Appointment by the Village Council. Upon nomination of a candidate for Clerk or Treasurer by the Village President, the Village Council shall appoint or reject the nominee by majority vote of those present.
(C) Clerk term of office. The Village Clerk shall serve at the pleasure of the Village Council, commencing as of the effective date of this section.
(D) Treasurer term of office. The Village Treasurer shall serve at the pleasure of the Village Council, commencing on November 16, 2006.
(E) Removal from office. The Village Council may remove the Clerk or Treasurer from office by an affirmative vote of the majority of the Village Council.
(F) Effective date. This section became effective 45 days after said date of adoption.
