(A) Whenever the Health Board and or the Village Board of Trustees shall be of the opinion that any structure in the municipal limits of the village is an unsafe structure, it shall file a written statement to this effect with the Village Clerk.
(B) The Clerk shall serve written notice upon the owner thereof, and upon the occupant thereof, if any, by certified mail or by personal service. Such notice shall state that the structure has been declared to be in an unsafe condition; and that such unsafe condition must be removed or remedied within 60 days from the date of receipt. Such notice shall include the name or the owner or occupant of the premises, the location of the premises, a description of the structure found to be unsafe, and conditions giving rise to the determination. Such notice shall also include the possible consequences of noncompliance and the owner or occupant’s rights to an appeal.
