§ 50.31 FIRE HYDRANTS.
   All hydrants erected by said village for the purpose of extinguishing fires are hereby declared to be public hydrants, and no person or persons other than members of the Fire Department in the acting discharge of their duties as such, or the Utility Superintendent, or some person acting directly through his or her order, shall open said hydrants or attempt to draw water from the same or at any time uncover or remove any protection from any of said hydrants or in any manner interfere with the same, and no person authorized to open hydrants shall delegate his or her authority to another, or lend out, or suffer any person to take the wrenches in his or her possession or control, or allow the same to be taken from any house in said village except for the purpose strictly connected with the Fire Department, or as they may accompany fire apparatus on occasion of fire.
