All sidewalks and pavement in the city shall conform in grade to the grade of their corresponding streets as established by ordinance and remain of the width as of present established, and that all sidewalks in the city hereafter paved or repaved shall be in conformity with the grades of the same, and of the streets as herein established, and shall incline or slope from the line of the streets descending to the top of the curbing on sidewalks, 16 feet wide, six inches on sidewalk; 12 feet wide, four inches on sidewalk; ten feet wide or less, four inches on sidewalk. All sidewalks or pavement hereafter put down not in accordance with the foregoing requirements shall be taken up and replaced, at the expense of the owner of the real estate abutting thereon.
