The fees to be charged by and paid to the City of Peru Department of Building Safety for various permits, inspections, licenses, registrations and examinations required by law, and pursuant to all other ordinances, shall be as prescribed by this section.
(A) Residential: one and two-family dwellings. The fee calculation shall be as follows: the minimum dollar or square foot cost, whichever is the greater. No permit fee in this division shall exceed $500 for any one project.

(C) Registrations and licenses.
(1) All contractors are required to register with the city annually. Any contractor who is registered with the Miami County Building Commission / Plan Commission, the same registration will be accepted by the city. The contractor shall provide all applicable documents upon request.
(2) Contractor registration shall be accompanied by a certificate of liability insurance for a minimum of $100,000 and workmen's compensation issued by a company registered in the state (ref: Zoning 2-3)(F).
(3) Contractor registration shall be valid for a term of one year beginning January 1 and expiring December 31 of the same year and shall be renewed annually at a fee of $25.
