§ 95.04 CONTACT WITH PUBLIC SERVICE WIRING PROHIBITED; NOTICE TO TRIM.
   (A)   The owner or occupant of any real estate within the corporate limits of the city shall keep the trees, shrubbery, or the branches thereof trimmed so that the same shall not come closer than three (3) feet of any public service wires maintained and operated by any person, firm, or corporation under authority of any franchise or right granted by the city or other legally constituted authority. If trees or shrubs grow into such wiring, the owner or occupant shall notify the city, and the owner of the lines shall perform the trimming required to comply with this division.
   (B)   The Board of Public Works and Safety, Peru Municipal Utility Service Board and Superintendent of Streets or any department or agent thereunder shall have authority to give notice to the owners or occupants to trim or remove the obstructions, trees, shrubbery, or branches thereof, coming within the prohibitions of this chapter.
