§ 93.33 LIEN FOR FAILURE TO PAY COST.
   The Clerk-Treasurer shall mail a notice to the owner, in the same manner as above provided, notifying the owner of the real estate of the total charges and costs of the lien due. The charges and costs must be paid within 30 days from the date of mailing the notice. If the owner of the real estate fails to pay the lien within the time specified, the Clerk- Treasurer shall certify the lien to the County Auditor for foreclosure, collection, and payment in the same manner as provided by law for the lien for other city or special improvement assessments. However, nothing contained herein shall prevent the commencement of legal action against the owner for foreclosure of the lien or the collection of costs in favor of the city as in other civil actions.
