§ 71.20 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY TO DESIGNATE CROSSWALKS, ESTABLISH SAFETY ZONES, AND MARK TRAFFIC LANES.
   The Board of Public Works and Safety is authorized:
   (A)   To designate and maintain, by appropriate devices, marks, or lines on the surface of the roadway, crosswalks at intersections where, in its opinion, there is particular danger to pedestrians crossing the roadway, and at such other places as it may deem necessary;
   (B)   To establish safety zones of the kind and character and at the places as it may deem necessary for the protection of pedestrians;
   (C)   To direct the Traffic Department Supervisor to mark lanes for traffic on street pavements and at the places the Board may deem advisable, consistent with the traffic ordinances of the city.
