452.17 PARKING ENFORCEMENT AIDES.

(a) The following limited police powers are hereby conferred upon the Parking Enforcement Aides, and such powers are limited to the authority to remove vehicles or cause abandoned vehicles to be towed, issuing of parking tickets, traffic citations, directing traffic and duties related thereto. Such Parking Enforcement Aides shall not be permitted to carry firearms, mace or any other device such as night sticks and handcuffs.

Such limited powers shall not extend beyond their working day and while on duty they shall be under the direction and supervision of the Chief of the Police Division.

(b) Parking Enforcement Aides shall be provided with a suitable badge denoting their status.
