(a) No person who is the owner of a school bus which is used or is to be used exclusively for purposes other than the transportation of children, shall operate such bus or permit it to be operated within this Municipality unless such bus has been painted a color different from that prescribed for school buses by Section 446.04 and painted in such a way that the letters “stop” and “school bus” are obliterated. (b) Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
