The salary of the Clerk of the Municipal Court shall be as established from time to time by Council and shall be payable in biweekly installments, three-fifths thereof being payable by the City and two-fifths thereof being payable by the County. During temporary absence of the Clerk due to illness, vacation or other proper cause, the Municipal Judge may appoint a temporary Clerk who shall be paid the same compensation, payable from the same sources, and who shall have the same authority and perform the same duties as the Clerk.
