260.02 PLANNING AND ZONING ADMINISTRATOR’S GENERAL DUTIES.
   The Planning and Zoning Administrator, under the supervision of the City Administrator, shall have general supervision of the operation of the Division of Planning and Zoning, and of the personnel thereof. The Planning and Zoning Administrator shall be responsible for the maintenance of a continuing long range planning process for the City; assisting the City Administrator in the coordination of development activities; preparing various grant applications and administering of ongoing grant programs; administering the City’s Planning and Zoning Code and Building and Housing Code including filling the office of Zoning Inspector, as approved by the Mayor and as specified in Chapter 1280; and acting as the liaison to the Municipal Planning Commission and other such boards or commissions as may be determined from time to time by the Mayor or Council. The Planning and Zoning Administrator may delegate to division staff such general duties or such part thereof as the Administrator deems proper. However, such delegation of authority shall not in any event relieve the Administrator from any responsibility for the proper functioning of the Division.
