242.03 DUTIES OF DIRECTOR OF LAW.
   The Director of Law shall attend Council meetings, advise the Mayor and Council at such meetings relative to such legal matters as are necessary and can be rendered without research. The Director of Law will also perform research where necessary, investigations, render opinions for or at the request of the Mayor, Council or other officials of the City, draft and prepare ordinances and resolutions, documents and other papers, court processes and pleadings, attendance in Court on behalf of the City, its officers and employees as an advocate relating to matters arising from the performance of the official duties of such officers and employees, and such other matters as he may be directed to perform by the Mayor or by Council.
