As used in this chapter:
(a) "City" means the City of Perrysburg, Ohio.
(b) "Council" means the Council of the City.
(c) "Director" means the Director of Public Service-Safety of the City.
(d) "Owner" means the owner, leaseholder, or agent thereof, holding title to any private property adjoining any street in the City.
(e) "Contractor" means any person or company licensed by the City to construct or reconstruct walks or driveways and to do other work permitted under this chapter, acting directly or through a duly authorized representative.
(f) "Right of way" means any public property dedicated for public use as a street, avenue, boulevard, lane, alley or public thoroughfare.
(g) "Walk" means any main or approach sidewalk, between the curb line and private property line.
(h) "Driveway" means any driveway approach or runway between the curb line and private property line.
(i) "Curb opening" means that part of a curb which has been or is cut, dropped or replaced.
(j) "Construction" means the construction of new work where no work has previously been done.
(k) "Reconstruction" means the relaying, rebuilding or repair of old work in part or as a whole.
(l) "Person" means any person, persons, partnership or corporation.
(m) "Street" means any public thoroughfare dedicated for public use.

(n) "Fabric" means canvas, oiled canvas, nylon, duck cloth or other similar material.
(o) "Street line" means the curb or, in the absence of a curb, the edge of the street pavement. (Ord. 105-87. Passed 11-3-87.)
(p) “Shared use path” means that portion of a street between the curb lines, or the lateral lines of a roadway, and the adjacent property lines or a publicly owned easement, intended for use by both pedestrians, and bicycles, and other non- motorized traffic. (Ord. 101-2002. Passed 7-16-02.)
