As used in this chapter, "garage sale" means any temporary private sale of personal property and merchandise which must be intended solely for domestic or household use, on a resident's property, which sale is open to the public. "Garage sale" includes, but is not limited to, yard sales, moving sales, driveway sales, porch sales and the like.
