672.12 POINTING AND DISCHARGING FIREARMS.
   (a)   No person shall discharge any air gun, rifle, shotgun, revolver, pistol or other firearm within the corporate limits of the Municipality except in districts zoned A-1 where such discharge is for the protection of the landowner’s crops.

   (b)   No person shall, intentionally and without malice, point or aim a firearm at or toward another or discharge a firearm so pointed or aimed.
   (c)   This section does not extend to cases in which firearms are used in self-defense, in the discharge of official duty, in justifiable homicide or when lawfully authorized by the Director of Public Service-Safety.
   (d)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of pointing and discharging firearms, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Punishment shall be as provided in Section 698.02. (Ord. 97-73. Passed 12-27-73.)
