(a) No person shall operate any watercraft, or manipulate any water skis, aquaplane or similar device upon the waters in this City carelessly or heedlessly, or in disregard of the rights or safety of any person, watercraft or property, or without due caution, at a rate of speed or in a manner so as to endanger any person, watercraft or property. (ORC 1547.07)
(b) Whoever violates this section, without causing injury to persons or damage to property, is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense. On each subsequent offense that does not cause injury to persons or damage to property within one year after the first offense, such person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
Whoever violates this section causing injury to persons or damage to property is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
Punishment shall be as provided in Section 698.02.
