634.13 EXCEPTIONS TO CHAPTER.

   The following uses and activities are exempt from the noise level regulations of this chapter:

   (a)    Noises of safety signals, warning devices and emergency pressure relief valves;

   (b)    Noises resulting from an authorized emergency or public safety vehicle, when responding to an emergency call or acting in a time of emergency;

   (c)    Noises resulting from emergency work;

   (d)    Noises resulting from authorized public activities, such as parades, fireworks, sports events, musical productions and other activities, which have the approval of the department of the City authorized by Council to authorize such activities;

   (e)    Noises resulting from City refuse vehicles;

   (f)    Noises resulting from wild animals, birds and insects; or

   (g)    Noises resulting from trains and aircraft. (Ord. 77-83. Passed 9-20-83.)
