1117.05   FIRE PROTECTION.
   (a)   Fire hydrants with two and one-half (2-1/2) inch outlets and one (1) large six (6) inch pumping connection shall be provided by the subdivider and all subdivision and public water supplies. The hydrants shall be located between property lines and curbs with all outlets facing or parallel to the street. Hydrants shall be placed at the corners of all blocks and at mid-block for blocks exceeding 800 feet in length. Hydrants shall also be required at the entrance and end of all cul-de-sacs four hundred (400) feet in length or longer. Hydrants shall be located a minimum distance of three hundred (300) feet from the nearest point of any residential dwelling in the subdivision.
   (b)   The type of hydrants and control valves and the location and accessibility of the hydrant shall be approved by the Village Fire Chief and the Village Engineer. The size of any water main serving any hydrant shall be not less than eight inches in diameter and the line shall be looped. There shall be no dead ends on water mains serving hydrants. The size and location of water mains shall be approved by the Village Engineer and the appropriate utility authority
   (c)   Any parking lot located between two or more buildings shall be accessible from both sides of the parking lot with fire lanes adjacent to each building clearly marked.
