The Board shall be composed of five county residents, three of whom shall be appointed by the County Sheriff, and two of whom shall be elected by a majority vote of the members of the county police force and County Sheriff’s Department, the elections to be conducted under procedures established by the Board. No active county police officer may serve on the Board.
