7-2-2: COMMUNITY TREE BOARD:
A.   Established; Membership; Appointment; Compensation: There is hereby created and established a community tree board for the city. The community tree board shall consist of five (5) members, appointed at large by the city manager, with approval of the city commission, based on their interest or expertise regarding urban forestry. All members, in their capacity on the board, shall serve without compensation and may be removed by the city manager for inefficiency, neglect of duty or malfeasance in office, or at the recommendation of the community tree board, for missing three (3) consecutive meetings or more than five (5) meetings in one year. (2010 Code § 20-1.1)
B.   Term Of Office: The term of the five (5) members shall be one year, with the right to be reappointed by the city manager for unlimited consecutive terms. (2010 Code § 20-1.2)
C.   Quorum: At any meeting of the community tree board, a quorum shall consist of three (3) members. No action shall be taken in the absence of a quorum.
D.   Meetings: The community tree board shall meet at least four (4) times a year.
E.   Board Officers: The community tree board shall elect a chairperson from members and shall create and fill such other offices as it may determine. The term of the chairperson shall be one year, with eligibility for reelection for no more than three (3) consecutive terms. (2010 Code § 20-1.3)
