5-2-4: VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER DEFINED:
For the purpose of this chapter, a "volunteer firefighter" is one who is enrolled as a member of the fire department and he serves in such capacity without receiving a regular salary from the city. (2010 Code § 1-39)
