§ 72.01 PARKING TIME LIMIT.
   The City Council may entirely prohibit or fix a time limit for the parking and standing of vehicles in any street, streets, or districts, and the parking and standing of any vehicle in any street, streets, or district for a period of time longer than fixed shall constitute a violation of this chapter. In addition, each period of time that any vehicle shall remain in any parking space beyond the period of time prescribed for such parking space shall constitute a separate and distinct offense. During the restricted parking period before 12:00 noon or the period after 12:00 noon in any one day it shall be unlawful for any vehicle to be parked on the same side of the same street in the same block for a period or periods of time, the total of which time is greater than the period of time so designated for parking on such street.
