452.15 PARKING ON STREETS TO BE CLEANED OR REPAIRED; SNOW EMERGENCIES.
   (a)   At the request of the Director of Service, the Chief of Police shall cause the Service Department to post “no parking” signs upon streets or parts of streets when the streets or parts of streets are about to be cleaned or are being cleaned, or when any improvement in or upon the street or part of a street is about to be or is being installed or repaired or when any tree within the street or part of a street is about to be or is being sprayed, trimmed or removed. When the signs have been erected, no person shall park a vehicle during the time when any work is being done on the street or part of a street, or about to be done. The police may cause such vehicles to be towed away and stored at the expense of the owner or operator as provided in Section 404.05.
   
   (b)   A snow emergency shall exist when snow has accumulated to a depth of two inches or more on any street in the Municipality, and parking on such street shall be prohibited regardless of whether or not a sign is posted. The police may cause vehicles parked in violation of this section to be towed and stored at the expense of the owner or operator as provided in Section 404.05.
