Any person who has served in the military service, as described in Ohio R.C. 124.23, may file with the Civil Service Commission evidence of having received an Honorable Discharge from the military, whereupon the applicant shall receive an additional credit of seven percent (7%) of the total grade given in the regular examination for original appointment in which the applicant receives a passing grade. No military credit shall be given for any promotional examination.
