220.01 MEETINGS.
   (a)   Regular meetings of Council shall be held at the Council Chamber in City Hall on the third and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The meeting on the third Wednesday of each month shall be a work session and Council shall not vote on any matter discussed at a work session unless a special meeting has been called. When a legal holiday falls on a regularly scheduled meeting date, the regular meeting shall be held on the following day.

   (b)   A special meeting may be called by the Mayor or by any three members of Council. At least twenty-four hours’ notice of a special meeting shall be given to each member of Council and the Mayor. Such notice may be made by telephone or voice-mail, in person, by written notification left at the residence of the Mayor or member of Council, by electronic communication or by any other reasonable method. Each member of Council shall provide the Clerk of Council with written notification of the preferred means of notice and may change the requested means of notice upon written notification to the Clerk of Council.
 
   (c)   A regular or special meeting may be adjourned to any time not later than that of the next regular meeting that is not a work session.
 
   (d)   All meetings of Council shall be open to the public except for the purposes and as permitted by the law of Ohio. The minutes of a regular or special meeting shall be promptly prepared, filed, and maintained and shall be open to public inspection at all reasonable times during regular business hours.
 
   (e)   Any individual or news media organization that desires to be provided with a copy of a regular meeting agenda or notice of a special meeting of Council shall file with the Clerk of Council a written request therefor and the Clerk of Council shall provide such information by electronic communication. Upon request, notification may be provided by any other reasonable means that Council may, by motion, deem appropriate. A written request for meeting agendas or special meeting notification shall specify the name and address of the individual or news media organization, electronic communication numbers of the individual or news media organization, and the telephone numbers at which notifications may be given during and outside of regular business hours. The Clerk of Council, when feasible, shall also post notice of regular and special meetings of Council on the City’s website. (Ord. 2012-06. Passed 2-15-12.)
