1440.03 INSPECTIONS; FIRE HAZARDS; ORDERS TO REMOVE OR CORRECT.
   When, in the opinion of the Inspector of Buildings, heating apparatus, illuminating, chimneys, flues or pipes, in any building or premises in the City, are dangerous or likely to cause or promote fires or explosions, it shall be his or her duty to enter upon such building or premises and examine the same as provided in Section 1440.02 (c). Upon finding any of the items referred to herein to be defective or in a dangerous condition, or constructed in violation of this Building Code, he or she shall cause to be delivered to the owner, lessee or occupant written or printed instructions to remove or remedy the same in such manner and within such reasonable time as may be necessary.
