The purpose of the Great River Road/National Scenic Byway Preservation Overlay District is to guide development and land use on and near the Great River Road in the county, consistent with the zoning and licensing ordinances of the towns and villages, by regulations that will preserve the scenic nature of the GRR/NSB and maintain the jobs in the tourism and recreation industries located there which are dependent upon the many visitors and tourists who travel the Great River Road.
