§ 70.061 AUTHORITY ON STREETS DURING CERTAIN PERIODS.
   (A)   (1)   The Mayor or police officer is authorized to determine and recommend to the Council certain streets, or specified lanes thereon, upon which vehicular traffic shall proceed in one direction during one period and the opposite direction during another period of the day and shall, upon authority given by ordinance, place and maintain appropriate markings, signs, barriers, or other devices to give notice thereof.
      (2)   The City Council may erect signs temporarily designating lanes to be used by traffic moving in a particular direction, regardless of the centerline of the roadway.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle in violation of markings, signs, barriers, or other devices placed in accordance with this section.
