(A) The City Council shall cause to be placed and maintained traffic-control devices when and as required under this chapter or other ordinances of the city to make effective their provisions, and may so cause to be placed and maintained such additional, emergency, or temporary traffic-control devices for the duration of an emergency or temporary condition as traffic conditions may require, to regulate traffic under the traffic ordinances of the city or under state law, or to guide or warn traffic.
(B) The Police Department shall keep a record of all traffic-control devices maintained by the city.
(C) All traffic-control devices shall comply with current standards established by the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways.
