Where the Village Board has designated an overlay zoning district in accordance with the provisions of title 10 of this Code and the plan approved for that overlay district contains standards for the subdivision of land or the construction of improvements related to the subdivision of land which are inconsistent with the standards established in this chapter, then the standards established in the plan for the overlay district shall prevail over the standards established in this chapter. Except where specifically superseded or modified in the overlay district plan approved upon the designation of an overlay district, all regulations pertaining to the subdivision of land as set forth in this title shall continue to apply within the overlay district as if the overlay district did not exist.
