9-4-6: PROHIBITED SIGNS:
Prohibited signs are signs which:
   A.   Contain statements, works or pictures of an obscene, indecent or immoral character, such as will offend public morals or decency.
   B.   Contain or are an imitation of an official traffic sign or signal or use the words "stop", "go slow", "caution", "danger", "warning", or similar words, in imitation of an official traffic sign or signal.
   C.   Are of a size, location, movement, content, coloring or manner of illumination which may be confused with or construed as a traffic control device or which hide from view any traffic or street sign or signal.
   D.   Are on premises signs that advertise an activity, business, product or service no longer conducted on the premises upon which the sign is located.
   E.   Move in any manner or have a major moving part. Only minor decorative parts may move. This prohibition does not apply to digital electronic multiple message signs. (Ord. 2015-1450, 8-4-2015)
   F.   Contain or consist of banners, posters, pennants, ribbons, streamers, strings of light bulbs, spinners or other similarly moving devices. These devices, when not part of any sign, are similarly prohibited unless they are permitted specifically by other legislation; provided, however, that such devices shall be permitted solely in the B-3 Zoning District.
   G.   May swing or otherwise noticeably move as a result of wind pressure because of the manner of their suspension or attachment; provided, however, that such signs shall be permitted solely in the B-3 Zoning District. (Ord. 2018-1558, 6-19-2018)
